A1 List
Judges who have been passed by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates in the breed and whom the Society would support.
A2 List
Judges who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 List and who have been assessed in accordance with the Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of the Society.
A3 List - Breed Specialist
Judges the Society would support as being suitable to award CCs in the breed, but have not yet been approved by the KC for inclusion on an A2 list.
- To have a minimum 7 years judging experience in the breed and have the support of the Society.
- To have judged at two breed club shows.
- To have judged a minimum of 70 Whippet classes.
- To have judged a minimum of 250 Whippets.
- To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 Whippets when they obtained their first entry in the KC Stud book.(save in exceptional circumstances)
- To have attended a seminar given by a KC accredited trainer and passed the relevant examination on KC Regulations and Judging Procedures.
- To have attended a seminar given by a KC accredited trainer on Conformation and Movement.
- To have attended a Conformation and Movement “Hands –on Assessment” conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment.
- To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant KC Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment.
- To have stewarded on 12 occasions as per KC Criteria.
A3 List - Non-Breed Specialist
Judges the Society would support as being suitable to award CCs in the breed, but have not yet been approved by the KC for inclusion on an A2 list.
- To have a minimum 7 years judging experience in any one breed and to include a minimum of 5 years judging experience in Whippets and have the support of the Society.
- To have judged at two breed club shows. (Save in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Society)
- To have judged a minimum of 75 Whippet classes.
- To have judged a minimum of 300 Whippets.
- To have awarded CCs in at least one other breed.
- To have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar run in accordance with the relevant KC Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment.
- To have bred and/or owned a minimum of three dogs of any breed when they obtained their first entry in the KC Stud book.(Save in exceptional circumstances)
B List - Breed Specialists
- To have a minimum of 5 years owning and exhibiting Whippets and have the support of the Society.
- To have judged a minimum of 30 classes of Whippets at Open & Ch. shows (without CCs)
- To have judged a minimum of 100 Whippets.
- To have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar and passed an assessment run by the Breed Council or a Breed Club.
- To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 1 Whippet when they obtained their first entry in the KC Stud book.(save in exceptional circumstances).
B List - Non-Breed Specialists
- To have a minimum of 5 years judging experience in any one breed and have the support of the Society.
- To have judged a minimum of 30 classes of Whippets at Open & Ch. shows (without CCs).
- To have judged 125 Whippets.
- To have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar and passed an assessment run by the Breed Council or a Breed Club.
- To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 1 dog of any breed when they obtained their first entry in the KC Stud book.(Save in exceptional circumstances)
C List
For aspirant judges who have shown an interest in the breed and have the support of the Society. Those who have judged the breed at Limitedshows and Open shows but who do not yet qualify for the B List.
