I must thank the NEWS Committee for inviting me and the exhibitors who brought their wonderful whippets for me to go over. I must also thank the excellent stewards who kept the ring running smoothly throughout the day.

Minor Puppy Dog (3, 1 abs)
1st - Third's Bruntsfield Rock Pipit. Seven months. Fawn and white parti colour. Nice head, good shoulders and settled in the ring. Kept his topline when on the move.
2nd - McLeod's Peperone Promises Promises. Eight months. Fawn brindle parti who is more rangy than 1st. Still a baby who needs to settle in front. Lovely forechest.
Puppy Dog (3, 0 abs)
1st - Howard's Jenaul Nuthatch at Tameron. Eleven months. Silver brindle with lovely topline, forechest, good shoulders and tight feet.
2nd - Ireland's Demerlay Reggae Rhythm. Nine months. Silver brindle who is still a baby and needs to settle. Good movement.
3rd - Price's Elmanash Majestic Gold Among Silkdance.
Junior Dog (2, 0 abs)
1st - Ireland's Demerlay Sparks Will Fly. Fourteen months. Fawn and white dog. A good neck and a lovely forechest, nice angles all round. A lovely long low stride when moving.
2nd - Tait's Sandtait Silver Fox. Twelve months. Brindle and white. Not quite as 'finished' as 1st.

1st - Dillon's Collooney Billy The Whizz. Fawn and white. Good neck and forechest, lovely topline, good length of loin. Moved out around the ring.
2nd - Price's Elmanash Majestic Gold Among Silkdance. Fawn. Good head. Nice length of loin.
Graduate Dog (4, 1 abs)
1st - Ireland's Mikadene Night Runner. Fawn and white. Lovely head and forechest with super topline and nice feet. Well angled.
2nd - Forsyth's Wichyty Mon Beau fils. Fawn and white parti, similar to 1st. Well muscled, movement not as good as 1st.
3rd - Price's Elmanash Majestic Gold Among Silkdance
Post Graduate Dog (2, 1 abs)
1st - Forsyth's Wichyty Mon Beau Fils
Limit Dog (3, 0 abs)
1st - Mycroft's Supeta's Razzalicious JW. Brindle. Good sized whippet dog with a nice head, long neck and good forechest. Good feet. Moved well all ways, kept his topline on the move. Best Dog.
2nd - Wilkinson's Fletchgate Star Walker ShCM. Black. Nice head, good bone thoughout, lovely outline, in beautiful condition.
3rd - Woodhall's Lesderana Ha'Penny.
Open Dog (8, 1 abs)
Difficult to separate the first three in this class; they could easily change places.
1st - Sykes' Lanakshena Love In Motion at Veredon. Fawn. Good head with lovely eye. Good long neck and excellent shoulders. Deep chest. Lovely outline which he kept on the move. In the challenge for BD he was not as fluid as the winner. Reserve Best Dog.
2nd - Marston-Pollock & Coulter's Collooney Rock My World. Fawn. Similar to 1st. Good head and length of neck. Nicely arched over loin, good length. Preferred movement of 1st.
3rd - Eades' Ch Courthill Cast A Spell
Special Racing/Lure Coursing Dog (1, 0 abs)
1st - Price's Whisterfield Jack Be Nimble Among Silkdance. Fawn. A quality dog with good deep chest, nice feet and shown in good condition.

2nd - Mycroft's Supeta's Loverlee. Brindle and white. Very sprightly lady for her age at 11 1/2 years. Good head, neck and forechest.
3rd - Wilkinson's My Black Lass
Minor Puppy Bitch (6, 2 abs)
1st - McLeod's Peperone Passion Play. Brindle and white parti. Eight months old. Stunning puppy with everything 'in the right place'. Nice head, good shoulders, excellent structure with good length. Lovely rear quarters. Moved with drive all round. Look forward to watching her progress. Couldn't deny her BP and BIS.
2nd - Oliphant's Peperone Precious Pearl at Edengrove. Brindle and white. Litter sister to 1st. Lovely head and neck. good shoulders and excellent topline. Moved well. Not as 'finished' as 1.
3rd - Third's Tango Time at Bruntsfield
Puppy Bitch (4, 1 abs)
1st - Morris & Waddell's Collooney Slack Alice at Crosscop. Red fawn. Eleven months old. Very pretty puppy with good length of neck, nice overall shape. Well angulated rear. Moved well.
2nd - Sykes' Veredon Yes Sir I Can Boogie. Fawn and white parti. Nine months old. Nice head and neck, well angulated, deep chest, moved well. Still quite raw and needs time to settle.
3rd - Head's Demerlay Rambling Rose
Junior Bitch (4, 0 abs)
1st - Johnston's Danluke Dicky Bird. A nice brindle bitch with a lovely topline, deep chest and well angulated. Her young handler brought the best out of this bitch.
2nd - Ogilvie's Demerlay Ritzi Ruby. Similar to 1st but her movement let her down on the day.
3rd - Young's Armabay Razzle Dazzle.
Novice Bitch (8, 1 abs)
1st - McLeod's Peperone Passion Play
2nd - Third's Tango Time at Bruntsfield. Third in MPB. A really raw youngster. Good length and very feminine, moved well.
3rd - Duckett's Elmanash Rivanna
Special Beginners Bitch (9, 1 abs)
1st - Duckett's Elmanash Aleisha. Fawn and white parti. Pleasant head, good neck and shoulders. Good length and nice topline which she kept on the move.
2nd - Young's Armabay Ruby Tuesday. Fawn and white parti. Good head and neck leading into nice shoulders, deep chest and good rear angulation.
3rd - Duckett's Elmanash Rivanna
Graduate Bitch (10, 1 abs)
1st - Grisoli's Loroli Let's Boogie. Brindle. A real feminine bitch of super quality. Good head, neck and shoulders. Nice deep chest with good 'fill', with a good outline. Kept her topline when moving. Nice tight feet.
2nd - Johnston's Danluke Dicky Bird
3rd - Duckett's Elmanash Aleisha
Post Graduate Bitch (7, 2 abs)
1st - Eades' Malakand's Little Criminal. Nicely shaped fawn and white parti. Good head, a lovely elegant nect and good length overall. Lovely tight feet. Good underline. Moved well all round.
2nd - Wilson's Cornstalk Charm in Tealas. Fawn. Another nice bitch with a good head, good length, deep chest and nice feet. Preferred movement of 1st.
3rd - Duckett's Elmanash Aleisha

1st - Mycroft's Supeta's Dazzalicious. Litter sister to BD. Very pretty feminine brindle and white parti. Lovely head, neck and shoulders. Good outline, all in proportion. True movement all round. RBB.
2nd - Howard's Layways Kismiss at Tameron. Another really nice, curvy, feminine brindle bitch. Lovely front angles, kept her topline on the move.
3rd - Dixon's Millwold Mulling It Over

1st - Sykes' Cedaridge Vanilla Skies Over Veredon. Fawn. A very nice feminine bitch. Good length, good outline, moved with drive.
2nd - Worrall & Meadow's Collooney Tainted Love. Brindle and white. Good head, deep chest, overall nice construction. Moved with drive.
3rd - McLeod's Peperone Pot of Gold JW
Special Racing/Lure Coursing Bitch (1, 0 abs)
1st - Third's Talaria Bianca of Bruntsfield. Fawn, Lovely head, good angulation, good depth.
Bred By Exhibitor Bitch (4, 1 abs)
1st - Dixon's Millwold Mulling It Over. Brindle. Yet another lovely feminine bitch. Nice size, good topline which she kept when moving. Overall a well-proportioned bitch.
2nd - Headley's Knoxhill Eclipse. Black. Good length, deep chest, good bone, very nice coat.
3rd - Third's Bruntsfield Drambuie.
