Veteran Bitch (6, 3abs)
1 Mason’s APHRAEL DAMHAN-ALLAIDH – Standard sized nearly 9 year old
white/parti bitch in very good muscular condition. Lovely head with parallel planes
and good underjaw. Long neck into well placed shoulders. Deep brisket and
good fill to forechest. Well defined tuck-up and correct arch over loin into strong
rear quarters with good bend of stifle and strong straight hocks. Movement sound
all round. BVIS
2 Ledger’s CH TRADEWIND TOUCH OF MAGIC ShCM – Another lovely old girl at
8½ years old. Elegant bitch with lovely head and long neck. Shoulders well
placed but upperarm slightly steep. Good backline with ribs well sprung into well
angulated rear quarters. Sound, steady mover.
Minor Puppy Bitch (5, 1abs)
1 Cowie’s CORNSTALK BUTTER CUP AT BENROY – 7 month old brindle/parti
bitch of correct size. Lovely baby who was in excellent condition with a coat like
silk. Pretty head with parallel head planes and correct eye shape. Super sound
front with enough depth to brisket and elbows lying close to chest. Firm backline
for a baby and correct croup. Feet well arched and very sound at the hock.
Correctly angulated at the rear. Low and easy on the move with good reach.
BPIS with agreement of my co-judge.
2 Jackson’s KESSEM LISTEN UPP OF KIRCHILLI (NAF) – Standard sized elegant
yet muscular 7 month old fawn/parti bitch. Lovely head with good expression,
ears needs to settle slightly. Balanced, correct angulation front and rear. Good
depth to brisket for a baby. Firm backline with correct arch. Sound mover but
slightly loose at the wrist which will improve with age. Another lovely baby.
Puppy Bitch (6, 2abs)
1 Falcus’ LOROLI DANCING QUEEN – 9½ month old standard sized brindle bitch.
Long head with slight stop and eyes of correct shape. Front angles are correct
and she has a deep, well filled forechest but just a touch too much keel. Well
defined tuck-up and correct backline. Elbows close to brisket and well arched
feet. Easy, sound mover once settled. Pushed the minor puppy bitch hard.
2 Armstrong & McFarlane’s CORNSTALK STEEL MAGNOLIA – This standard
sized, elegant brindle bitch is another promising youngster. Pretty head with
correct eye and expression. Balanced, correct front and rear angulation although
slightly weak at the hock which should improve with age. Moved well once
settled.
Junior (3, 0 abs)
1 Winkley-Balmers CROSSCOP ME AND MY GIRL FOR EDENWHIP – 14 month
old standard sized fawn/brindle bitch that I have placed well before. I am pleased
to see that she is maturing nicely. Elegant bitch with pretty head and kind
expression. Long neck into super, sound front with well placed shoulders and
correct upper arm. Good depth to brisket and elbows placed close to chest. Well
defined tuck-up and a firm backline into a perfect tailset. Rear quarters are
perfectly matched to her front and she stands on low set hocks. Movement is
easy with a long low stride with correct reach. This bitch featured very highly in
my final decisions and was in my final 4, just needs a little more maturity to
complete the picture.
2 Mason’s APHRAEL MADAME CHOLET – Nearly 16 months old this bitch is just
starting to mature in body. Standard sized bitch in muscular condition. Good
head with correct expression. Well placed shoulder but slightly steep in upper
arm. Firm back with correct arch and well defined tuck-up. Enough depth to
brisket and elbows lying close to chest. Well angulated rear quarters, sound at
the hock. Moved well
Novice (8, 2 abs)
1 Hardcastle’s COLLOONEY LIZZIE GIZ ABIT – Standard sized femine fawn bitch
with pretty head and kind expression. Long neck into very well angulated front
quarters with good depth to brisket and correct forechest. Firm topline but slightly
flat for age. Well sprung ribs and well defined tuck-up. Correct rear agulation

Special Beginners Bitch (1, 1abs)
1 Winch’s KNOXHILL BARLEYCORN – Top size yet elegant fawn/parti bitch. Long
head with parallel planes and correct stop, eyes slightly prominent. Front angles
somewhat upright but she has correct depth to elbows and well sprung ribs.
Sound at the hock but slightly overangulated. Moves OK.
Graduate Bitch (2, 1abs)
1 Turner’s GILNOCKIE FORTUNE COOKIE – 18 month old black/white trim bitch
who is maturing up nicely. Standard sized, feminine bitch in lovely coat and
condition. Would prefer more length to the head which otherwise has parallel
planes, slight stop and bright eyes of correct shape. Long neck into well placed
shoulders. Upper arm very slightly steep but good depth to brisket and elbows
close to chest. Spot on backline with ribs well sprung and correct croup. Well
angulated rear quarters which are well muscled. Happy confident bitch who
moves with a free and low stride. Although on her own in this class I liked her a
lot and she featured in my final 4.
Post Graduate Bitch (5, 1abs)
1 Morris, Waddell & Donaldson’s NOTHING COMPARES TO YOU AT
CROSSCOP JW – I have admired this fawn bitch from the ringside on many
occasions but there are days when she just doesn’t want to be there! However
today this was not the case and she put on a fantastic performance and didn’t put
a foot wrong. At nearly 16 months old she is quite mature for her age, in
fantastic coat and condition and she is bang on for size. Her head is exquisite
with bright, oval well placed eyes, parallel planes, clean cheeks and correct
underjaw. Long neck into well placed shoulders with matching upper arm. Well
sprung ribs with correct depth to brisket and elbows placed close to chest. Good
fill from the front standing on well arched feet. Well defined tuck-up and firm
backline with correct arch and excellent croup. Rear quarters are perfectly
matched to the front and she stands totally true at the hock. She moved with the
perfect daisy-cutting action required, covering the ground with ease and
precision. I was very happy to give her Best bitch and delighted that my co-judge
agreed to her taking BIS over her father. I am sure there is much more to come
from this youngster.
2 Jackson’ LOROLI MISS DYNAMITE AT KIRCHILLI – A fawn/brindle parti bitch of
stronger build throughout and in very good muscular condition. Good head with
correct underjaw and muzzle of good length. Front and rear quarters are well
angulated with good depth to brisket. She stands on good feet but is slightly
steep in pastern. Correct backline and good tuck-up. Moved very soundly.
Limit Bitch (5, 1abs)
1 Mason’s APHRAEL WHAT A PERFORMANCE – Nearly 3 years old this bitch is
at her peak. A standard sized feminine bitch with a stunning head. Neat ears
into a clean neck of good length. Well placed shoulders and upper arm of equal
length but very slightly steep. Well filled front and elbows lying close to brisket.
Super backline with correct arch over loin. Ribs are well sprung and her tuck-up
is well defined. Very well angulated rear and straight, strong hocks. Stands on
good feet but a slight criticism is that her nails are a little long. Very sound on the
move when viewed from any angle. Liked her a lot RBB.
2 Dixon’s MILLWOLD MULLING IT OVER – Elegant, standard sized dark red
brindle bitch who at 6 years is still looking the part and is in very good condition
with excellent muscle tone. Pretty head with neat ears and good shape to eye.
Well angulated both front and rear with well placed shoulders and deep brisket.
Firm backline with correct arch. Moves steadily and soundly although slightly
loose at the wrist.
Open Bitch (5, 4abs)
1 Mason’s APHRAEL CASTING PEARL – Lovely pale fawn/brindle bitch enjoying
her day and on her toes. Very good condition with good muscle tone. Head OK
with parallel planes and slight stop. Long neck into well placed shoulders and
correct upper arm. Good depth to brisket and well filled from the front. Ribs well
sprung and back firm with well defined tuck-up. Rear angulation is good and
hocks were sound. Easy mover with good reach but slightly loose at the elbow.
Bred By Exhibitor (4, 2 abs)
1 Wilkinson’s FLETCHGATE TIGER LILY – Top size but elegant fawn/brindle bitch
in super condition. Head ok but would prefer more length in muzzle. Shoulder
and upper arm are of equal length but slightly steep. Good depth to chest and
well filled at the front. Tuck up is well defined. Rear quarters are well angulated
and sound at the hock. Moved OK.
2 Hedley’s KNOXHILL ECLIPSE – Muscular yet elegant black bitch. Long head
with correct stop and neat ears, cheeks slightly prominent. Balanced angulation
front and rear. Moved OK.
